Paint & Sip: A Highland Cow

24 Painters, and a Whole Lot of Heart
There’s a special kind of magic that happens when a room fills with people who are ready to create — even if they’re a little nervous, even if they haven’t picked up a paintbrush since grade school. That’s exactly the energy that filled the February Warren County Habitat for Humanity Paint & Sip Fundraiser, where I had the joy of serving as the instructor for a full house of 24 painters.

Designing the Highland Cow
For this event, I wanted a project that felt fun, approachable, and full of personality. The Highland cow checked every box — expressive eyes, big fluffy hair, and endless room for creativity. I designed the entire piece from scratch, then built a step‑by‑step guide and a custom stencil so every painter, no matter their experience level, could feel confident from the very first stroke.
My goal is always the same: Make art feel possible. Make creativity feel welcoming.
